庄子讲,万物皆有道,道通于一;大道既无边际,更无疆界。在遥远的葡萄牙有一名坚定的弘道人士,他叫Jose Barreno,中文名叫黄景运,是葡萄牙道教协会的会长。笔者有幸在中央民大黄胜得老师的引荐下,与这位来自西欧的道友进行了简短的交流。许多时候,留下深刻印象的并不是答案本身,解答中,这位西洋道友流露出对道的热爱和对于弘道的真诚令笔者久久不能忘怀。
问题1:道教给您的生活带来了哪些变化?
回答:对生命、世界和宇宙带来了新的认知,收心离境之后,我们有机会用心体悟道教的文化。我感受到了万物的整体性,所以我不再单一地看待它们,万事万物之间都是相互影响的,因此,我们能够更好地理解宇宙的规律、生命的轨迹。
A new vision of the life, of the world, of the universe.Things stop to get separated,So, we talk with my head the chance and Daoist culture.I had the chance to start gathering things. So, I don't see no more separate things. Everything has influence in each other thing. So, we can this way understand better the mechanic of the universe and how life goes.
懂得了这些之后,我们能更好地指导自己、预测未来。所以,道给了我一个全新的自我认知。有了它,我认为,我变成了一个热情的人、一个更好的人,这样一来,我也能更好地帮助他人。
Also by knowing this,we can predict better what to do and how it becomes in future.So, Dao is brought to me a new vision of myself, and with this vision, I become a warm person, I think, a better person, in that way, I can also help others.
问题2:葡萄牙的道教是什么样子?
根据我今天的经验,我认为在西方,在我的国家,“道”首先被当作是一种哲学。所以在大学当中,一些教授们对“道”怀有兴趣。但是,它被当作成一种思想,而不适合于一般人。
In my country, and I think in the west by the experience I have today, Dao is first was seen as a philosophy.So, people in university, professors, some professors have interest, but it’s a kind of thought that is not for common people.
它只是一个学术化的道教而缺乏实修,就是常说的道家(思想)。但是,当我们开始成立葡萄牙道教协会(ADP)的时候,我们保留了道家的哲学性,但同时我们也是道教。所以我们结合了现有的道教形式,把学术的、哲学的道家与宗教的、精神的道教结合,这样我们可以在实践中更为深刻地理解道家的哲思。所以道教和道家是一体之两面,同属于道教的大范畴之中。
It’s just a study Daoism without practice, so with this, I'm speaking about Daojia. But, when we start with the ADP(Portuguese Daoist Association), we maintained Daojia, but we are also Daojiao. So we could connect the visible form of Daoism, which is academic and philosophical Daoism with religious and spiritual Daoism.In that way, we can bring with practice more profound meaning to what Daojia speaks.So Daojiao and Daojia are both parts of the same thing of the same body, which we call Daoism.
在这样的理念下,我们努力了十年了。现在我们可以讲,我们带来了“两个人”,展示了更加深刻,同时也更简明的道教观。所以在这个意义上,现在人们愿意进行道教的修行。我们得出的结论是,从道医健康养生的实践入手,它是目前吸引信众和唤起人们对道教兴趣的最好方式。
And that way, we begin, we worked last ten years. And now we can say, we bring two people, more deepest and at the same time, more simple vision of Daoism. So people now are willing to practise Daoism in that sense. We have come to the conclusion that's starting with yangsheng practice of health. It was the best way for people to come and get interested in Daoism.
现在人们喜欢开展各种各样的道教实修,其中一些人想要成为道教的信众。这个影响是非常好的。在葡萄牙,现在已经有了20多位道士了。随着时间的发展,我们会开设自己的宫观,成立自己的道教活动中心。
So now people are like to practise Daoism in lots of ways, and some of them come to the point they want to be Daojiao adherents. So these influences was very good. Because now we have almost more than twenty Daoist priests in the portugal. And these Daoist priests, with time we’ll open their own temples, and there are their own centers of Daoism.
所以我们都是从一开始,迈出第一步是非常重要的。之后才有了开设其他宫观和道教研究中心的条件。所以现在我认为,人们对于道教的看法是充满敬意的,最重要的是,道教能给他们的生活带来健康和幸福。
So if we began by one as always, the first step is important. Now there are conditions for other temples and centres of Daoism study. So I think the vision of people now about Daoism is a vision with respect. And above all, that Daoism can bring health and happiness to their lives.
问题3:您最喜欢道教的什么?
回答:我非常喜欢阅读和学习《道德经》,老子提出了一个伟大的命题:人如何能够自我实现思想的真正自由?由于我们生活在一个已建构的社会中,所以这一观念尤为重要。而且我们所有人都有老板、上司、规章和法律。道教则教给我一种在种种社会事务中平静生活的方式——用无为的方式,例如老子《道德经》中水的比喻。我认为,这对于人们是非常重要的,道教里面隐藏着人们生活处世的奥秘。
I like very much to read and to study DaoDeJing, and laozi makes a great proposition: How man can achieve freedom of minds by themselves? That vision is very important because we live in a structured society, and all we have bosses and chiefs and rules and laws. So Daoism brought to me a way of living peacefully in all these society. Without interfering (wuwei) by example Laozi gives in DaoDeJing be like water, so in that way, I think it is very important for people to understand, that Daoism has the secret for them to adapt to the society.
这一来就建立或者有助于建立一个和谐积极的社会,在这个社会中每个人都知道自己要做什么。在自己的生活中,通过帮助自己和帮助别人,我会是一个对社会有价值的人。因为我对社会有价值,所以我也是一个对自己有价值的人。
And in that way to build, or to help building be a peaceful society, and an effortful society where everybody can be knowing what to do. By helping others and helping himself, so driving my life in this way, I can be useful to society. And if I can be useful to society, I can be useful to myself, so that's it.
问题4:在未来,您准备如何弘扬道教?
回答:弘扬道教是以济世度人为宗旨的,在过去的十年中,那就是我的工作。在今后的几年中,我还会这样做。也许在将来,我将会有机会花更多的时间提升自己、精进修行,这样我希望能给在葡萄牙追随我的人做榜样。做相同的事,去帮助社会,帮助他人;用道教的经典智慧来启发他们。
It’s to work in Daoism for the collective good.So in the last ten years, that is, that was my work. And I think the next few years I will continue do this thing.But it will become a time ,that maybe, I have the chance to take time for me and practice more, in that way I hope to give example to others after me in portugal, to do the same thing, to help society, to help people, enlighten them with the words of the Daoist classics.
Barreno寄语:我是全真龙门派弟子,我认为,内丹和度人是道教两个十分重要的方面;内丹对道教未来的发展非常重要。
问题5:您如何看待道和神的关系?
回答:我经常说道是神秘的,之所以这样说是因为道创造了神。神是道的产物。在这个过程中,道为而不恃,又玄之又玄。所以,大道是无形无象的,老子说过:“视之不见名曰夷,听之不闻名曰希,搏之不得名曰微”。
I used to say that Dao is secret and I say this because Dao produce gods. So, gods are the product of Dao. In that way,Dao is not divine, but it's secret. That's the way. So, Dao is empty. Laozi said, you cannot see it, you cannot hear it,you cannot touch it, so it's empty.
但是,道又是万物之母,我们把道生万物的过程称为(炁化)。道的生成物,我们叫做炁,所以神是炁。神一种非常接近本原——也就是道的炁。所以在这个意义上并无不同。排在神后面的是人类,但人类也是炁的一种。所以如果人能够不断提升自己,他们可以上升到圣人乃至神的层次。所以这是一个修炼我们自身之炁的过程——炼气化神,达到最高的觉悟;在此之后,以期能够炼神还虚,炼虚合道。
But it has the potential in in itself to create everything. So, these action of Dao to create everything we call it. When it becomes creation, we call it Qi,so gods are Qi, and the kind of Qi very near to the origin, which is Dao. So there is no difference in that way. After gods we have human people, we have persons, but persons are also Qi. So if persons can improve themselves they can achieve the the level of saints (sheng ren) and gods. So it is a process of Qi,of developing Qi in ourselves, in order to become with highest consciousness. And that way,after that, hoping that we can also return to Dao to emptiness.
